Internships in the Netherlands
Currently, Sustainalytics offers the following internship for university students in the Netherlands:
1. ESG internship:
Sustainalytics is looking for students interested in an internship. Sustainalytics is a European leading provider of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research for global asset managers and responsible investors. We are working closely together with selected research partners in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
For our office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we are looking for interns that are available for 40 hours a week from January to March 2010.
Main activity:
To research the sustainability performance of individual European companies. The subjects we analyse include business ethics, corporate governance, social and environmental aspects and supply chain management. Interns screen several sources, like the sustainability reporting of companies, media and NGO sources to come to a balanced judgement. Interns work closely together with sector specialists and get familiar with the sustainability topics in different sectors.
Other topics during your internship include:
To work together with colleagues on other sustainability research tasks specifically for one or more of our clients. These research reports/tasks can be very diverse and may include screening of publications of non-governmental organisations, investigate whether companies do business in line with international conventions (like Global Compact), whether companies are involved in controversial business activities etc.
The internship can be interesting for anyone who wants to have a better understanding of sustainability issues and the way sustainability performance can be measured in listed companies. During the traineeship students will gather experience with a broad range of sustainability subjects. In order to make this internship a success it is important that the student has good analytical skills and has excellent English writing skills. It is also very important that he or she likes to do research work.
In principle, the internships are offered on a full-time basis (40 hours). We expect our interns to be available for a period of at least 12 weeks. Interns receive a compensation of EUR 350/month (full time basis).
