Meet our colleagues

The thing I value the most is the ability to have an impact on our planet. Investors are using our data to direct large amounts of capital toward more sustainable investments. That is hugely motivating.

Sustainalytics aligns with my values because colleagues are not just seen as people you work with but are treated as humans, friends, and partners in achieving our collective mission, even during this time of great uncertainty.

Clark
Director of Methodology, Climate Solutions - (I love spending time outdoors. It is where I recharge my batteries and take a break from our complicated world.)

Other than the sense of accomplishment in completing work on a day-to-day basis, to me, the most valuable part is interacting with the great people who work at Sustainalytics, all of whom have a common goal. Professionally, we have the confidence in knowing that what we are doing can make the world a better place, yet we still push ourselves to do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Personally, just being able to communicate with colleagues over teams and zoom on a regular basis contributed substantially to my well-being.

William
Director of Product Management, ESG Products – (I am a father to two boys, which means I am a sports coach, a chef, a nutritionist, a Pokémon trainer, a Lego master builder, a tutor, and a taxi driver.  When I have time for myself, I walk my dog, ride my bike, and brew my own organic beer.

One of the things I enjoy is helping investors explore ESG Risk Rating components and connect them to ESG challenges that these investors are facing. There are so many challenging questions coming from clients that push me into learning. Being part of this process makes me feel like I am part of multiple different journeys at the same time.

Also, I enjoy the freedom and flexibility to pursue my own way of learning and growing as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to my investor clients, so many challenging questions that come from clients push me into learning.

Tatsiana
Senior Associate, Client Relations (I feel most alive when I get to connect daily news and pressing ESG events (such as COP26 and climate change or manufacturing of controversial weapons) to the work that Sustainalytics does… Yes, am great at parties!)

I feel a real sense of achievement when I'm thinking that I've provided our clients with the report they needed in their decision-making process to reach sustainable outcomes. A lot of clients are using the reports I make and publish the information I provided on their websites or reports.  Make the real changes!

Ruby
Analyst, Product Operations (Life is short but full of surprises. I love to experience different new things (e.g. during the pandemic, I’ve tried knitting, water coloring, guitar, etc.) and I also love to explore different countries, regions, languages, and cultures, etc. so YES I love to travel. Finally, I love to explore different cuisine, either going to a restaurant or making it myself!

Being in the banking industry for the past years before joining Sustainalytics has been my backbone to continuously serve internal/external stakeholders with quality work by analyzing the financial industry from a risk-based perspective. Sustainable finance to me has already been a trend, a style, and a way of living. And my new journey with the fast-expanding Sustainalytics family will make the most out of my combined financial and ESG background to further facilitate the dialogue and cooperation between research science and the financial market to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Kay
Corporate Solutions Analyst (On a personal note, I am a wine lover and NFT art explorer. You'll find me mostly in a wine shop seeking a good wine or browsing around/creating digital new media art.)

What I value most in my daily work is the content of my work. I am the Product Manager for Human Rights Radar, and I am really happy to be able to contribute to such an important subject. I want to make the world a better place and inclusive to everybody. I believe that this is the overall feeling of the people with whom I work directly. They inspire me every day.

Every time we are discussing my product deliverables, I can see what difference the product can make to support the investors to take better and more mindful investing decisions.

Sofia

Senior Associate Product Manager, ESG Products (In my free time I like to get more educated about my other passions: Gender Equality and Climate Change. I’ve recently been selected by the EU Commission to be an EU Climate Pact Ambassador. It makes me happy to be able to contribute to the EU’s climate ambitions).

Joining as a research analyst, I was proud to see investors using our research to apply their responsible investment policies and succeeding in their engagement efforts with companies we were researching. Later, I was proud to see the Bucharest Stock Exchange using our research. In my current job, the more colleagues we train on financial markets and responsible investment, the more I trust that we collectively can contribute to more just and sustainable local and global economies, be it working in Sustainalytics or in any other company, but with a mindset that we can positively influence the world we live in.
