Sustainalytics is committed to respecting human rights as defined in the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” the “United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights,” and the “International Labour Organization Core Conventions.”

Sustainalytics is committed to respecting children’s rights as defined by the relevant International Labour Organisation (ILO) and United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) recommendations.

Sustainalytics is committed to preventing the use of any form of compulsory or forced labor, debt bondage, slavery, human trafficking, or involuntary prison labor and prohibits the use of forced labor in our business practices as introduced by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (the US), Modern Slavery Act (UK) and Modern Slavery Bill (Australia).

Sustainalytics is committed to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace environment as it is referred to in the ILO’s Occupational Safety and Health Convention.

Sustainalytics is committed to maintaining accurate and complete accounting books and records, following applicable business standards and laws governing accounting, audit, and taxation in relevant jurisdictions.

Sustainalytics supports the notion of providing full disclosure on all material charitable/political donations. Sustainalytics support charitable donations if they have a direct link to the business strategy or support relevant stakeholder engagement.

Sustainalytics align with the rules and restrictive measures governing international economic, financial sanctions, and not to engage in direct commercial relations with a Sanctioned Person.

Sustainalytics support the Convention on Cluster Munitions that bans the use, production, stockpiling, and transfer of cluster munitions and requires countries to clear affected areas within ten years and destroy stockpiles of the weapons. We further support the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention and the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction.

Sustainalytics promote greater environmental responsibility and encourages the use of environmentally friendly products and technologies. We further support the prevention of environmental damage through pollution, biodiversity loss, or the depletion of natural resources, based on guidance from the UN’s Rio Declaration, the Earth Charter, and the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Sustainalytics is committed to the Paris Agreement’s, under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change treaty, the central aim is to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change by keeping a global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. In addition to pursuing efforts to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Sustainalytics stands behind the need for national and international policy action and ambition on climate change.
