In 2011, STOXX introduced the STOXX Global ESG Leaders indexes. Based on research data provided by Sustainalytics, the new family of indexes set the standard for transparency and comprehensiveness in the ESG indexing space at that time.
In 2018, FTSE Russell and Sustainalytics announces a strategic partnership in which Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Ratings will be used to develop a range of ESG indexes based on the Russell 1000, 2000 and 3000 indexes.
