Sustainalytics’ CEO Michael Jantzi Named to Canada’s 2020 Clean50 and Clean16 Leaders List

Jantzi Honoured as the Leader in the Finance and Services Category for His Contributions to Advance Sustainable Investing in Canada

Toronto, October 3, 2019 – Sustainalytics, a global leader in ESG and sustainable finance solutions, today announced that its Chief Executive Officer Michael Jantzi has been named by Delta Management Group, a leading sustainability and clean tech search firm, as one of Canada’s 2020 Clean50 leaders. Michael Jantzi was also awarded the prestigious Canada Clean16 award in the Finance and Services category for his significant contributions to the causes of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada over the past two years.

For nearly 30 years, Michael Jantzi has engaged with hundreds of the world’s leading investors, corporate representatives, industry groups and the media to emphasize the financial materiality of ESG issues. His work – along with the more than 550 passionate team members at Sustainalytics – have helped enable investors and companies to make more informed decisions that create a positive economic and social impact. Michael also serves on the TIDES Canada Board of Directors and on the Advisory Council of Ivy Business School’s Institute for Long-Term Prosperity through Business, advancing both organization’s sustainability strategies.

In determining the awards’ recipients, Delta Management Group considers measurable accomplishments, demonstrated innovation, collaboration with other organizations and the power of the honouree’s contribution to inspire other Canadians to take similar action. After rigorous screening and research by Delta Management and input from internal researchers and external advisors, Michael Jantzi was among 50 honourees selected from an initial pool of approximately 750 well-qualified nominees.
