Associate Director, Institutional Relations (UK & DACH)
Eimear oversees business development for the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Eimear spent over a decade within the investment management industry as a portfolio manager and equity research analyst, working at Rothschild, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Fidelity International. One of Eimear’s key areas of specialism was in developing and running socially responsible and impact investment portfolios and she was also heavily involved in developing and driving CSR initiatives particularly at Rothschild. Eimear is also an On Purpose fellow, a unique leadership program designed to develop the next generation of socially and environmentally aware business leaders who will use the power of business and investment to drive positive change.
Eimear holds a Masters in International Business and Management from Manchester Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law and German from University College Cork. She has also completed all three levels of the CFA program and is fluent in English and German.
Director, Institutional Relations (Canada, Distribution channel sales)
Max is responsible for developing Sustainalytics’ institutional relationships in Canada, helping prospective clients determine the responsible investment solutions that best fit their needs. He brings to this role an understanding of the dynamics involved in developing a responsible investment program and speaks regularly on the topic of sustainable and responsible investing. He spent a number of years at TD Asset Management, where he focused on developing processes to assist the integration of ESG factors into the investment process, leading corporate engagement efforts and supporting the management of its sustainable investment products. Prior to joining the institutional relations team, Max was a director on Sustainalytics advisory services team when he assisted global clients in integrating Sustainalytics’ research within their investment processes.
Following his Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration from the University of Windsor, he fulfilled the necessary requirements for the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation offered by the Canadian Securities Institute. Max is also a CFA® charterholder. He is fluent in both English and French.
Associate Director, Product Strategy and Development
Irene is responsible for executing research-related innovation projects, developing new research offerings and ensuring methodological consistency across products.
Irene is the former global lead analyst for the materials industry. In 2011, she authored the chapter “Responsible Investment Case Studies” for the book Governance Ecosystems: CSR in the Latin American Mining Sector. She was also a co-instructor for the course CSR, Sustainability, and Mining at Ryerson University’s Chang School of Continuing Education. In 2012, Irene was ranked one of the top three Environmental and Social Analysts in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Irene worked for the Canadian Environmental Law Association conducting research on impact and benefit agreements between First Nations and mining companies. Irene has a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University.

Megan is responsible for supporting various clients including companies, non-profits, and investors, on a range of projects related to sustainability benchmarking and best practice analysis, stakeholder engagement, materiality assessment, donor and partnership screenings, and other custom project work and ESG research. She has also managed the KnowTheChain project, a largescale ranking project on modern slavery in supply chains.
Prior to joining the Sustainalytics team, Megan developed and launched the Canadian local network chapter for the UN Global Compact, and designed and managed the network’s inaugural program. In this role, she worked closely with large- and medium-sized companies to build capacity and embed human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption principles into their strategy, operations, and supply chain.
Megan holds a Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. She has also completed the Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 training. In 2015, Megan was selected as one of Canada’s Top 30 under 30 Sustainability Leaders by Corporate Knights Magazine.
Radoslav is responsible for a range of customised solutions for corporates, civil society organisations and investors. He has broad experience as a project manager for corporate sustainability benchmarks, due diligence, materiality analysis, stakeholder mapping and engagement, and analysis of sustainability best practices, gaps and risks. In addition, Radoslav is involved in methodology development and sustainability impact projects. He has managed a rankings project for the Access to Seeds Foundation and contributed to a similar project for the Access to Medicine Foundation.
Radoslav brings to Sustainalytics content management and editorial experience gained at Dow Jones Factiva. He holds training certificates from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), and the University of Toronto (Project Management). Radoslav holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Amsterdam Business School and an honours BA in Marketing from the University of Portsmouth.

Sonja manages the team of analysts focusing on equities in the industrials, infrastructure, transportation and commercial services sectors. She assures the quality of the research products, and also engages with companies and clients on key ESG issues in the sectors she oversees.
Sonja has worked in several roles at Sustainalytics focusing on research, product innovation, and client servicing in the DACH region.
She holds a master’s degree in Business (cum laude) from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a bachelor’s degree specialized in Finance (top 3%) from Maastricht University. Sonja is a Certified Expert in Microfinance (CEMF) and a working group member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
MANAGER, JAPAN RESEARCH
Since January 2017, Yumi has been building a new team of research analysts in Tokyo, focusing on Japanese equities. She assures the quality of the research products, and actively engages with clients and companies, supporting brand-building and business development activities in the Japanese market. She regularly presents at conferences and workshops on various ESG topics in Japan and in Southeast Asia. Previously, Yumi led the Industrials and Transportation sector research out of Sustainaltyics’ Singapore office, where she managed the team of analysts located across Asia and Europe.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Yumi worked for over six years in the financial services industry; she was part of Deloitte Singapore’s M&A Transaction Services team, and, was responsible for variety of roles from sales to operations at Citibank in Tokyo and Hong Kong. She has also conducted empirical research on the impact-investment fundraising market in Japan, working with one of the leading asset managers in the field.
Yumi has an MBA, with a focus on sustainability and impact investment, from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and International Politics from Hokkaido University in Japan.

Silvana manages a team of analysts conducting research on the ESG performance of companies in the pharmaceuticals, healthcare and chemicals sectors.
Prior to assuming this role, she was the lead analyst for the Insurance sector and conducted thematic research on ESG issues in the financial industry. In 2015, she authored Sector Report Insurance: Shedding Light on New Industry Challenges as part of Sustainalytics’ publications series. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Silvana completed internships in the fields of banking and insurance at Unicredit Tiriac Bank and ING Insurance Romania.
Silvana has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the West University of Timisoara, with a specialization in Finance and Banking, as well as a master’s degree in Finance and Financial Strategies. She was first exposed to corporate social responsibility and ESG issues while taking courses in economics and finance at the University of Padova in Italy.

As associate director, Michelle manages a team of research analysts focused on analyzing the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of companies in the energy and extractive sectors. Prior to this Michelle managed indicator research and oversaw the respective analyst team in Toronto. As part of her work, Michelle evaluated and reported on the key ESG indicators impacting companies within Sustainalytics’ research universe.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Michelle worked at TD Bank as senior manager of TD Environment where she was responsible for environmental risk management. She managed the implementation of the bank’s environmental management system as well as external stakeholder relations and reporting pertaining to environmental management. Prior to this, Michelle was a director at Innovest, a sustainability research firm. Her principle focus was the engagement and development of global strategic partnerships and initiatives with large financial institutions, fund managers and specific niche players.
Michelle has worked in sustainability for more than 15 years and is an accredited Environmental Professional (EP). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from York University as well as a certificate in water finance that she completed at the University of Toronto in 2012.

Matthew leads a team of analysts conducting research on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of companies in the information technology, media and telecommunications services sectors. Since joining the firm in 2009, alongside his work publishing sector reports he has contributed to thematic research projects and reports related to the ESG risks facing companies and investors, including the Ranking Digital Rights Corporate Accountability Index and Regulating Conflict Minerals: Unpacking Section 1502 of Dodd-Frank.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Matthew managed projects to develop company GHG inventories and implement carbon footprint calculation and reduction initiatives. He has a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies, where he concentrated on business and sustainability strategies. Matthew also holds a bachelor of science degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the University of Winnipeg.

Laurence Loubieres is the lead analyst for the food and beverage sector. In her previous roles at Sustainalytics, Laurence was a senior analyst specialized in the financials sector and most recently she was head of client account management activities in North America. In addition to her work at Sustainalytics, Laurence is a member of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) and is a member of the banking working group.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Laurence was a responsible investment analyst for seven years at Meeschaert Gestion Privée, the largest independent private banking firm in France. Laurence graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Paris. Laurence co-authored a book on sustainable development (Notre mode de vie est-il durable: nouvel horizon de la responsabilité, Karthala, Paris, 2006) and a book about the reform of the financial system (20 propositions pour réformer le capitalisme, Flammarion, Paris, 2012).
MANAGER, AUSTRALASIA RESEARCH
Hardik has built and led multiple analyst teams, working across Asia, Europe and North America to assess ESG risks and opportunities in the infrastructure, utilities and ICT sectors.
Hardik actively engages with companies and investors on key ESG issues and, as a public speaker, regularly shares his knowledge on ESG topics at various conferences across Asia. He also leads the development of Channel NewsAsia Sustainability Ranking, which lists the top 100 sustainable companies in Asia. Starting 2017, Hardik is building a new team of analysts in Sydney that rate the ESG performance of high-profile companies in Australasia.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Hardik was an ESG research associate with MSCI and, as a senior consultant at Ernst and Young, he advised large Indian corporations on climate change and sustainability issues.
Hardik was voted as the top research analyst who understands challenges and opportunities faced by companies in the 2015 and 2016 Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) survey.
In addition to being a CFA charter holder, Hardik has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance) from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai and a graduate degree in electronics engineering from Mumbai University.

Dana analyzes and rates the ESG performance of companies in the extractives sector, in particular the mining companies. She is especially interested in health and safety, carbon emissions, clean tech, corruption, biodiversity, and community impact. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Dana worked for over ten years as an oil and gas analyst for companies such as Innovest, RiskMetrics, and MSCI, where she progressed to the role of Energy Sector Content Lead. She has contributed to a number of reports related to ESG issues in the oil and gas sector. She co-authored ‘Canada’s Oil Sands: Shrinking Window of Opportunity’ (2010) and ‘Shale Gas and Hydraulic Fracturing in US: Opportunity or Underestimated Risk?’ (2011).

Angela is the industry lead for the financials sector, providing expertise on banks and diversified financial companies. She assesses companies in terms of sustainability and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors, contributes to research reports (including thematic reports), and is active in connecting with both industry and clients. She supports Advisory Services in helping clients integrate ESG considerations into the execution of their investment strategies. She also manages and mentors a team of researchers.
Angela has over seven years of work experience in capital markets as an equity research analyst specializing in several sectors, including oil and gas, mining, renewable energy, healthcare and industrial products. She has extensive experience with financial analysis and valuation, writing investment reports and providing investment recommendations to institutional and high net worth clients. She has a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Business from the University of Waterloo. Angela is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Alberto has over six years of experience researching and assessing the sustainability performance of energy companies. As the energy lead, Alberto participates in stakeholder consultations with oil and gas companies and regularly engages with major global oil and gas companies as part of the Sustainalytics research process. Alberto has travelled to Canada, Colombia and China for onsite field trips to gain first-hand knowledge of oil and gas operations and impact. Alberto is actively involved in communicating ESG issues in the oil and gas industry to major financial institutions and acts as a trusted advisor on unconventional extraction to many of Sustainalytics’ clients. In 2012, he authored Deeper and Colder: The Impacts and Risk of Deepwater and Arctic Hydrocarbon Development, the second report in a series on unconventional oil and gas development. More recently, Alberto co-developed Sustainalytics’ Stranded Carbon Assets Framework.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Alberto worked for the Dutch environmental and development non-governmental organization Both Ends. He completed a master’s in Human Geography, Planning and International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam (Cum laude) and a master’s degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid. Alberto is fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch.

Rachel serves as the HR business partner to the Research Products team.
Rachel began her Sustainalytics career in 2007 as an analyst. Since then, she has spent eight years in strategic human resources management roles. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Rachel worked for four years as an educator and group facilitator in both academic and international development settings. She has worked in Canada, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Rachel earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto, Canada, where she specialized in Business and Sustainability, and Non-Profit Management and Leadership. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Kevin has over 15 years’ experience in the fields of responsible investment and corporate sustainability and has worked with a wide variety of asset owners and investment managers, helping them to incorporate ESG considerations into their investment policies, strategies and processes. He is an expert in the development of metrics and methods to evaluate sustainability performance and has led numerous projects involving the development of customized frameworks and metrics to measure ESG-related risk and impact. He has also played a key role in the development of the firm’s suite of services to responsible investors, ranging from engagement strategy development to ESG screening to PRI advisory services.
In addition to his work at Sustainalytics, Kevin is a part-time faculty member in the department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where he teaches in the area of business and human rights. He is a former director of the board of Canada’s Responsible Investment Association and of Oikocredit Canada, a microfinance organization, and he holds degrees from the University of Waterloo, the University of Toronto, and the University of Notre Dame.

Mike Musuraca is managing director of Blue Wolf Capital Management, and Blue Wolf Capital Fund II, L.P. and Blue Wolf Capital Fund III, L.P., private equity funds, which specialize in control investments in middle-market companies in which managing relationships with government or labor, or resolving financial or operational distress, are critical to building value. Prior to joining Blue Wolf, Mr. Musuraca was an assistant director in the Department of Research and Negotiations, District Council 37 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), which is the largest public -sector union in New York City, and served as designated trustee to the New York City Employees Retirement System (NYCERS) and the Cultural Institutions Retirement System (CIRS). Mike Musuraca also served as a board member of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, and is currently serving on the board of Verite.

Liliana oversees data management and deliverable creation for Sustainalytics’ Global Compact Compliance Service. As a key member of the index team, Liliana is also responsible for the construction and maintenance of various ESG and sustainability related indices. In addition, Liliana has been involved in different research projects and contributes to the provision of responsible investment services to clients.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Liliana participated in an internship program at a financial investment services company and volunteered with a non-governmental organization focused on youth entrepreneurship. Liliana holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking and a master’s degree in Financial Markets from the West University of Timisoara. She is also a Certified Microsoft Excel Expert and holds a training certificate from the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA).

Laurentiu leads the Data Management Team and is responsible for implementing quality assurance policies and enhancing the company’s ICT support system.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics Laurentiu worked in the financial programming/research industry with GM Analytic Software and Crabel Capital Research. He also worked for a short time in the automotive industry, conducting signal processing at Continental Automotive.
Laurentiu holds master’s degrees in Theoretical Physics and National Security Information Management. He is also licensed in Physics and Informatics and holds a Scrum Product Owner certification. His programming language skills include Visual Basic, DAX, SQL, C and C++.

Iulian leads the software development and software architecture teams, supporting them in building robust, industry-leading software solutions. He is responsible for developing a strategy for the Software Development Department to meet the company’s goals and objectives and improve the quality of the service it delivers to internal and external stakeholders.
Since joining Sustainalytics, Iulian has focused on introducing and improving Agile methodologies in software development and managed the transition from a small to a medium size Software Development Department. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Iulian was a software developer and project manager at a software company specialized in business solutions.
Iulian holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Energetics and a Microsoft Certified Professional certification.
HEAD OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
Andrei is responsible for managing Sustainalytics’ customer relationship management and SharePoint platforms as well as developing applications for the latter. Prior to joining the firm, Andrei was a SharePoint developer and team coordinator for one of world’s largest telecom companies. He also previously worked as an architect for various companies across Bucharest and as a freelance graphic designer. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Management.
HEAD OF INFRASTRUCTURE & SECURITY
Amit oversees the company’s ICT infrastructure, coordinates related projects and provides training and support for Sustainalytics’ global offices and users. He leads a team of engineers in charge of the company’s network, telephony, hardware and back-end servers. In his role, he also acts as the Information Security Officer for Sustainalytics, in charge of policies, compliance and enforcement.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, he worked as a data-center engineer and as team leader for a major internet service provider in Israel, his home country.
Amit has an academic background in information science, having obtained a degree from the Bar-Ilan University. He has several technical certifications concerning system administration, networking and network security.

Karin works with Sustainalytics’ Nordic institutional investor clients to support their responsible investment strategies. Prior to joining Sustainalytics Karin worked with anti-corruption due diligence reports as a member of Dow Jones’ risk and compliance department in Barcelona, Spain. In her role, Karin coordinated and supervised research on potentially corrupt companies, executives and politicians globally as well as supported clients and trained researchers. Parallel to her work at Dow Jones, Karin also provided freelance research for the book “The Real Issues of the Middle East and the Arab Spring: Addressing Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.” Her input was mainly directed towards policy recommendations on information technology, innovation and entrepreneurship connected to education systems and labour markets to enhance youth employment and sustainable economic development.
Previously, Karin was a research assistant a FRIDE, a Madrid-based think tank, where she conducted research on the EU’s foreign policy. She also organized high-level international events for policy-makers and civil society representatives.
Karin holds a master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lund University, Sweden. Karin also speaks five languages: Swedish, Danish, English, German and Spanish.

HEAD OF DIGITAL INNOVATION
As the head of Digital Innovation Team, Arik is responsible for the development of Sustainalytics’ artificial intelligence and unstructured data analytics powered suite of digital products and services. He is also focused on research and development related to the integration and analytics of ESG information gathered through media and other open sources.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics Arik was head of public affairs and communications at Coca-Cola HBCA, a leading producer of non-alcoholic beverages in Armenia. There, he authored the company’s CSR Strategy and Action Plan. He also spent five years in international development, working in communications and public relations in the areas of sustainable water resources and anti-corruption. Arik has seven years of foreign policy analysis experience and taught communications and media analysis for 10 years.
Arik holds master’s degrees in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics and in International Communication from Leeds University. He is a fluent speaker of Armenian and Russian.

Annie is a Director of Digital Products with Sustainaltyics, where she leads the development of Sustainalytics’ ESG research software. As a member of Sustainalytics’ software product development team, she contributes to operational planning and the strategic implementation of team goals. Annie has worked at Sustainalytics since 2008 as an industry analyst, project manager, and associate research director and managed Sustainalytics’ portfolio of sustainability rankings from 2012 to 2015.
Committed to the promotion of sustainable innovation and responsible investment, Annie is involved in several sustainability-related organizations including SIRAN, BASIC, Net Impact and WISE and serves on the advisory board of the Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness (SERC). She has represented Sustainalytics at various conferences and speaks regularly on a variety of sustainability and responsible investment topics.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Annie worked on furthering sustainability initiatives with lululemon athletica and was a policy analyst with the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. Annie is a certified Scrum Product Owner and certified to GRI-4 reporting standards. She has a master’s degree in Environmental Economics from the University of Glasgow.

Martijn is leading the development of Sustainalytics’ Data Services and manages the teams responsible for data management, analytics and deliverables.
Prior to this role, Martijn help to establish Sustainalytics’ Digital Innovation team and, before that, he managed a team of research analysts and gained expertise in the fields of client services and account management. He has extensive expertise in data governance, analysis and analytics and a special interest in the interaction between content and technology and the way this stimulates innovation.
Martijn graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam the Netherlands, with a master’s degree in Economics and Business and a specialization in Financial Economics.

In her roles, Darragh is responsible for managing operations in the US, and for directing business development, sales, marketing, and client relations in North America. In 2012, Darragh voted best client relations/sale person for responsible investment and corporate governance research in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey conducted by Thomson Reuters Extel.
Darragh has 15 years of experience within the responsible investment industry in the U.S. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Darragh directed marketing and client relations for KLD Research & Analytics, Inc., a research firm specializing in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research, analysis and index solutions. Darragh has over seven years of experience as an ESG analyst at both research and investment management firms. Outside of work, Darragh serves on the Board of Directors for US SIF (the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment) and the US SIF Foundation, and served two years as co-chair of SIRAN, a working group of US SIF. In 2012, Darragh was named Best Salesperson for SRI / Corporate Governance research in the first-ever Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey 2012, conducted by Thomson Reuters Extel and SRI-Connect.com.
Darragh graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Economics and International Affairs.
Marius leads the company’s ICT unit, bringing technology towards the core of our products. He is responsible for catalyzing and coordinating various teams, ensuring both the continuous operation of the company’s information technology assets and setting the strategic direction of their development.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Marius managed the international business unit of an IT consultancy and software development firm, specialized in eGoverment solutions. Marius brings more than 15 years of expertise in software development, program- and project management, and organizational IT management.
Marius holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest, with a minor in artificial intelligence and machine learning. He also holds an executive MBA from Tiffin University, Ohio, U.S.

Vikram Puppala manages the Carbon Solutions, Sustainability Bonds and Sustainability Indices offerings at Sustainalytics. As a product manager for Sustainalytics’ Carbon Solutions, Vikram is responsible for providing clients with a set of tools and analysis that will help them understand and manage their carbon-related risks. As the head of the Sustainability Bonds team, Vikram provides second party review and verification on green/sustainability/social bonds and helps issuers bring a credible and robust green bond to the market. Vikram also manages Sustainalytics’ Sustainability Indices offering, where he is responsible for the development and maintenance of ESG and sustainability related indices. Terence heads Sustainalytics’ Controversial Weapons and Sustainalytics’ Product Involvement Research teams. For both products, he oversees quality management, product and business development, team planning and client management. In his role as defence specialist, he advises financial institutions on defining and implementing defence policies. In recent years, Terence has contributed to reports and presentations outlining the implications for investors of regulatory changes related to conventional arms and controversial weapons. In 2011, he also wrote Eurosif’s sector report on aerospace and defence.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Terence worked for seven years at ABN AMRO as an analyst and portfolio manager. His focus areas were the integration of environmental, social and governance issues into investment processes, implementing the defence policy and managing the Green Fund.
Terence holds master’s degrees in Economic Geography and International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.

Sheila manages the Sustainalytics ESG Rating product, overseeing methodology and leading product enhancements. She also manages the Controversy research methodology and oversees the delivery and enhancement of Controversy-related products such as the Global Compact Compliance Service and the Sustainalytics Alert Service. She leads the Events Oversight Committee, a body that reviews major Controversy rating changes. Prior to assuming this role, she was the lead financial sector analyst, covering large cap banks and financial services firms.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Sheila was based in Singapore as the lead political and security risk analyst for Asia Pacific in an international emergency assistance company. She has also worked as a security analyst and as a financial journalist in Manila, and led research projects for a stakeholder engagement company in San Francisco.
Sheila holds advanced degrees in International Affairs from the New School University in New York and the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom. She is fluent in Visayan and Filipino.

Jonathan oversees the corporate governance research and data research teams at Sustainalytics. Jonathan previously worked at ISS where he helped institutional investors build a global governance philosophy based on local market best practices and sector norms. He also implemented that philosophy through these investors’ proxy voting activities.
Jonathan holds a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy, as well as a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from The College of William and Mary.

Doug Morrow is an Associate Director on the Thematic Research team at Sustainalytics. Based in the company’s Toronto office, Doug manages Sustainalytics’ thematic research products, including ESG spotlights, sector reports and thematic notes.
Doug’s work is focused on evaluating macro investment themes and cross-cutting investment risks and opportunities, including those related to climate change, global energy transition, water scarcity, data security, community relationships and corporate transparency. Before joining Sustainalytics in 2014, Doug worked in senior research roles at Corporate Knights Capital, ICF International and Innovest. Doug holds an MBA and Master of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.

Within Research, Claudia is responsible for ESG Ratings and Controversies. This includes the ongoing development and improvement of our ratings framework and controversy indicators. Prior to this role, Claudia managed the Financials Research team, consisting of 10 analysts internationally.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Claudia worked in the equity research department of WestLB for 15 years; 12 of which was as an Equity Strategist/Financial Analyst. Since 2002, she has focused on responsible investment and played a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s extra-financial research product.
Claudia has an advanced degree in Economical Mathematics from the University of Bayreuth (Germany). She has also completed the EFFAS program and received designation as a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA).

Andres is a member of Sustainalytics’ Controversial Weapons and product involvement research teams. In addition to conducting company research, Andres also advises clients and contributes to product development. Andres initially joined Sustainalytics as an analyst intern researching companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to this, Andres conducted development research in Tanzania, Argentina and the Philippines. He graduated from University College Utrecht (cum laude) and completed a master’s degree in Sustainable Development focused on international development.

As director of research Wilco provides guidance and management to a growing team of analysts. He directly manages the team of analysts focusing on Financials and oversees several other research teams and research processes.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Wilco was an equity portfolio manager, quantitative researcher and senior engagement specialist at Robeco Group. He honed extensive expertise in responsible investment analysis, voting at shareholder meetings and conducting active dialogues with investee companies. He brings with him 18 years of experience with institutional clients, their affiliated networks (including the PRI), brokers, investment consultants and ESG research providers.
In previous years at Sustainalytics Wilco contributed to standardizing research processes, their planning and quality standards.
Wilco holds master’s degrees in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Philosophy from Leiden University.
Loïc leads Sustainalytics’ research team in Singapore and contributes to the continued enhancement of the firm’s overall responsible investment research offerings.
As a former senior analyst at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), Loïc brings to Sustainalytics a deep understanding of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues most important to investors. He is also an expert on water-related ESG risks having successfully engaged on the issue with companies in the mining, utilities and food sectors in Asia. While at NBIM he also prepared the firm’s annual report on water risk management.
Loïc has a master’s degree in International Finance from Sorbonne University in France and a bachelor’s degree from Glasgow University, Scotland.

Gary manages Sustainalytics’ research operations and quality teams, with responsibility for Sustainalytics’ research planning, operational processes, and research delivery.
Prior to taking on his operational role, Gary led Sustainalytics’ corporate governance research team from 2014, building the team and launching the Corporate Governance research offering in 2016. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Gary had nearly 15 years in investment and corporate governance research with expertise i executive compensation and corporate governance issues. He was managing director and head of research at GMI Ratings, a corporate governance research and ratings firm, and was Executive Director at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), where he led the development of quantitative models and research frameworks for evaluating executive compensation and corporate governance performance. Prior to ISS, Gary led a research team at investment and benefits consulting firm Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson).
Gary holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Faryda joined Sustainalytics in January 2015 and she helped to build the company’s Corporate Governance team and product line. She currently manages the governance team and helps investors to determine what the impact of governance developments is on their investment decisions.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Faryda worked within the Responsible Investment team at MN, an asset manager in The Hague. She was responsible for engagement and voting, focusing mainly on corporate governance related topics. Prior to MN, she worked for ISS where she oversaw a team of six that focused on the Benelux markets, and wrote and reviewed analyses of public companies.
Faryda has two bachelor degrees, and followed the Woman Corporate Directorship program.

Esther is leading the Information Intelligence Team and oversees the activities of over 75 analysts. Her team is using innovative technologies to update and improve our ESG ratings, sovereign bond research, news screening, controversial weapons and other product involvement areas. Esther has worked in various roles at Sustainalytics, focusing on research, client servicing, product innovation, process and quality management.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Esther worked as a sustainability analyst for Triodos Bank, where she did research for the bank’s socially responsible investment funds, and, before that, she worked in the global environmental services department at PriceWaterhouseCooper.
Esther holds a bachelor’s degree in Rural Development Studies, a master’s degree in Environmental Economics from Wageningen University, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
As Sustainalytics’ global energy sector lead, Dayna is responsible for overseeing research, ensuring quality assurance and conducting best-of-sector analysis for energy companies. She has shared her knowledge and expertise in a number of reports and webinars focused on oil and gas development and its implications for investors. In 2012 and 2013, Dayna was named best Environmental and Social Analyst in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, she developed a combination of academic understanding and practical experience working within the agricultural, forestry, mining and oil industries. Her previous experience spans corporate policy writing, environmental auditing and hydrogeology-focused consulting.
Dayna holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Surface Science from the University of Guelph and a master’s degree in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Western Ontario. She has conducted field work in Ontario, Alberta, Nunavut, the U.S. mid-west, St. Kitts and Nevis and Iceland.

Hendrik is heading Sustainalytics’ global sector- and thematic research teams and oversees the activities of over 50 analysts. He also manages Sustainalytics’ Frankfurt office, which is responsible for the company’s business activities in the DACH region.
Before joining Sustainalytics, Hendrik worked as a sell-side equity analyst/strategist at WestLB for more than 15 years. Hendrik is very active in the responsible investment community, serving asco-chair of the German association of investment professionals’ (DVFA) commission on responsible investing and is a member of the European Federation of Financial Analyst Societies’ commission on ESG.
Prior affiliations include serving on Project Delphi’s technical working group, the advisory committee for the STOXX ESG index family, the PRI working group on ESG integration, the Technical Review Committee of the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR) and the Investor Testing Group of the IIRC. Finally, Hendrik was also involved in the development of the German Sustainability Code.
Hendrik holds a PhD in Finance and has co-authored a book on Portfolio Management. In the 2014 Extel/IRRI Survey, Hendrik was the runner up in the category “Best SRI Analyst.”

Catalina is part of Sustainalytics’ Institutional Relations team and, since relocating from London to Sydney in 2015, she has been working with investors in the Asia Pacific region to support the development and implementation of their responsible investment strategies.
Catalina has over seven years’ experience in sustainable and responsible investment and, in 2013 and 2014, she was voted best client relations/sales person for responsible investment in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey. Before joining Sustainalytics, she was a Program Manager at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF), where she was responsible for UKSIF’s programs geared towards institutional investors, including a series of ESG events and various marketing activities.
Catalina has been an active member of several responsible investment steering committees including the Analyst Committee Group of UKSIF, the international working group of the US Responsible Investment Association, as well as the Australasian Responsible Investment Association engagement group. She was also a founding member of the “Next Generation” initiative, a peer support network for individuals working in responsible investment in the UK, as well as the founding group of the “Women in Sustainable Finance” network, based in Sydney.
Catalina has a master’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility from Nottingham University Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Bucharest.

James oversees Sustainalytics’ business development and client relationships in the Asia-Pacific region. Ever passionate about Japanese and Chinese cultures and languages, James has resided in APAC for over 25 years, developing his career in general management and sales and marketing leadership roles in banking (DLJ, Mizuho) and governance (Glass Lewis and ISS).
James began studying Japanese and Mandarin at the University of Colorado, where he completed a bachelor’s degree. He has since completed an master’s degree in East Asian Languages at University of Hawaii, Middlebury College’s Advanced Japanese program, and an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He regularly speaks at conferences, appears in the media, and teaches governance as an adjunct professor; is a General Securities Principal (US) and a Securities Registered Representative (Japan); and reads, writes, and speaks fluent business Japanese and conversational Mandarin.

Since 2006, Sarah has worked in the area of environmental, social and governance (ESG) research, first as an analyst working on customized client projects and deliverables, then moving into a client relations role. Focused primarily on the U.S. market, Sarah helps prospective clients identify their ESG research needs and find the responsible investment solution that suits them best. She communicates regularly with clients, providing education and support for all stakeholders, helping to identify new markets, and supporting their sales and marketing efforts through meetings and presentations. Sarah also speaks regularly on the topics of responsible investing and ESG investing at conferences.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics Sarah worked for an English as a second language teaching program in South Korea and studied gender equality and its relations to sustainable development in Mexico. Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Development from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario.

Antonio is responsible for directing business development and sales in Europe and for managing operations in France, with a focus on institutional investors. He has played an integral part in developing the ESG Signals product and Sustainalytics’ brand in Europe, as well as in establishing research partnerships with brokers. Antonio’s hard work was recognized in the 2013 Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) Survey. He was voted among the top 10 client relations/salespeople for responsible investment and corporate governance research.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Antonio managed global sales and strategic partnerships for the socially responsible investment division of Vigeo (now VigeoEiris). Antonio also worked in London at EffiScience, acquired by BearingPoint in 2012, a pioneer boutique in machine learning applied to trading. Prior to EffiScience Antonio worked as an engineer at Renault, PSA and FCA.
Antonio holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Turin and a finance-oriented MBA from HEC Paris. He speaks fluent French, Italian and English.

Heather has been responsible for global client advisory services since relocating to Sustainalytics’ Amsterdam office from Toronto in 2015. She supports European clients in the Nordics, the UK and the DACH region to integrate ESG research into their investment processes. Having worked at Sustainalytics since 2004, she has also held director positions on the research and institutional relations teams.
Heather represents Sustainalytics at various conferences and speaks regularly on a variety of responsible investment topics. Committed to building the responsible investment network, she has sat on the executive committee of the board of directors for Canada’s Responsible Investment Association (RIA) and the steering committee of the Social Investment Research Analyst Network (SIRAN) for many years.
Prior to joining the company, Heather worked as a corporate social responsibility consultant and a human rights worker. She has an undergraduate degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from Carleton University.

Azadeh oversees the operational management and strategic planning of the North American and Australian client advisory teams. These teams support diverse investment professionals in developing and implementing responsible investment strategies and in integrating Sustainalytics’ suite of research products and services into their investment processes.
Over the course of the last seven years, Azadeh has managed various client-commissioned research projects, contributed to industry publications, and managed the development of strategic partnerships with clients and industry-related non-profit organizations. In 2014, in collaboration with Ceres, she co-authored Gaining Ground: Corporate Progress on the Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability. She has also contributed to Sustainalytics’ thought leadership publications, by authoring Complicity in the Congo: Investor Risks in the Minerals Supply Chain in 2010.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Azadeh worked for six years in the Canadian retail apparel and consumer goods industries in design and product development, purchasing and production management. With this experience, she brings to her roles both academic and practical experience in supply chain management.
Azadeh has a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Business from Ryerson University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where she majored in International Business and Management. In addition, she has a professional certification from the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and was a certified Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) trainer.
Andrea manages and oversees client relations for European institutional investor clients. As Director within Sustainalytics’ Advisory Services team, Andrea leads the client advisory team servicing institutional investor clients in the Benelux, France and Spain. In her role, Andrea aims to ensure that Sustainalytics’ strategic focus, product offering and service levels adequately address clients’ needs and expectations.
Since joining the Advisory Services team seven years ago, Andrea has worked with several of the larger banks, investment managers and pension funds in the Dutch market and, more recently, other European countries. In 2012, Andrea co-authored the report Bridging the Gaps: Effectively Addressing ESG Risks in Emerging Markets as part of Sustainalytics’ publication series. Andrea has broad experience in project management, and acted as Project Manager for the 2014 Access to Medicine Index and project sponsor for the 2016 Access to Nutrition Index . Andrea joined Sustainalytics in 2007, initially working as an Associate Analyst covering the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Andrea conducted field research in Indonesia, Ghana and Bangladesh as a freelance consultant for several Dutch non-governmental organizations. She holds a master’s degree in International Development Studies from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

Alexander ensures that Sustainalytics’ research and analysis is tailored towards actionable solutions for Institutional Investor, Corporate and Civil Society clients. He is particularly interested in correlating sustainability with business opportunities and anticipating risks.
Alexander bears overall responsibility for the Advisory Services team, with currently 12 client services teams throughout the world. He joined Sustainalytics in 2010 and has been instrumental in managing the strong growth of the client base, client satisfaction, and the building of client services teams, service principles and underlying processes.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Alexander held various commercial and managerial supply chain positions at Unilever and US food ingredients company Archer Daniels Midland. He also worked for two private equity firms where he managed the product launch of sustainable products and services in the agri-food sector. In addition, Alexander created a successful consultancy network in partnership with seven accounting firms, which used materiality and positioning benchmarks to advise many small- and medium-sized companies on integrating sustainability into their management and strategy.
Alexander holds a master’s degree in European Economic Law from the University of Utrecht, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Management from van Hall Institute in Groningen.

Melissa Brown is currently a partner at Daobridge Capital, a China-focused private equity advisory firm. A resident in Asia since 1988, she analyzed Asian investments for 15 years as a sell-side equity analyst and research director for Barclays Capital and JP Morgan. She has specialized in coverage of the power and clean tech sectors and was responsible for research on companies in South Korea, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and India. She completed her sell-side career as a Managing Director at Citigroup. During her tenure as the Executive Director of ASrIA (2003-2008), she led a range of innovative ESG research initiatives focused on carbon disclosure and ESG analysis of Asian companies. As part of the IDFC Capital team, Ms. Brown invested in emerging market private equity funds and was a Director of Responsible Research Pte Ltd, an Asian ESG research provider. She is currently a government-appointed council member of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, a member of the Securities and Futures Commission Public Shareholders Group, and was a member of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Listing Committee (2006-2012). Ms. Brown holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA in Economics from Williams College.

Glen Saunders is an investment banker, company director, financial and strategic consultant and chartered accountant with extensive experience in banking, investment, financial and strategic planning. He was a main board director of Triodos Bank until 2001 overseeing its rapid growth in the UK and continues as a senior adviser to its executive board.
He has served as a director of numerous social financial investment initiatives in the UK and elsewhere including the Western Partnership for Sustainable Development and the Local Investment Fund.
Moving to New Zealand in 2002, he served as a director of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund for five years until 2009, chairing its responsible investment committee. He is a director of a number of companies in responsible investment, sustainable food production and distribution. He is a director of Social Enterprise Finance Australia, The Gift Trust and Sustainable Investment Fund Trust in New Zealand. He is an adviser to New Zealand government departments and agencies and is assisting some of New Zealand’s largest foundations in developing their investment activities.
Glen served on the board of PRI as its treasurer and then chair of the board from 2007 to 2014.
Georg Schürmann is Managing Director of Triodos Bank Germany, the German branch of Europe’s leading sustainable bank. He joined Triodos Bank in July 2009 to set up the German branch with his team. Mr. Schürmann has extensive experience and expertise in private banking and the investment fund market. Prior to joining Triodos Bank, Mr. Schürmann worked at Deutsche Bank, where during his 20 year tenure he held various senior management positions in the Private & Business Clients Division, including Managing Director, Member of the Board Private Banking Germany and Managing Director, responsible for the Region of Munich.
Mr. Schürmann is a member of the sustainability advisory board of Barmenia Insurance and member of the advisory board of Deutsche Umweltstiftung (German Environment Foundation). Mr. Schürmann holds a diploma in business administration from the University of Cologne. He is also an alumnus of Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation.
Else Bos is chief executive officer at PGGM, a leading Dutch pension administrator. She is also a member of the board of directors. Prior to joining PGGM, Ms. Bos held various senior management positions at ABN AMRO Bank, including COO of ABN AMRO Asset Management Netherlands where she was responsible for operations, IT and facility management. In 2001 she joined NIBC Asset Management as co-head investments, and became COO/CFO the following year. Else Bos is also a UN Principles for Responsible Investment board member, as well as a member of the supervisory board of NWB Bank (Nederlandse Waterschapsbank) and a member of the supervisory council of Isala Clinics.

In addition, Alan is a Director of Sustainalytics Holdings B.V., Chair of the Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation, Senior Fellow and Chair of the Governing Board of Massey College, Member of the Governors’ Council of the Toronto Public Library Foundation, Board member at Jazz.FM, and Member of the Order of Canada and recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. Simon MacMahon is head of Research Products at Sustainalytics and is a member of the company’s executive team. He oversees all ESG research and the management of Sustainalytics’ ESG products. Simon joined Sustainalytics in 2008 and has held a number of leadership roles. Most recently, he was the executive lead of Sustainalytics’ Advisory Services team. During his tenure he built Sustainalytics account management and advisory teams and was responsible for Sustainalytics’ clients globally.
He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, professional certification from the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and is a certified Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) trainer. He is a board member of the Responsible Investment Association.

As executive vice president of the human resources, legal and operations team Nynke drives and manages recruitment and hiring; training and development; HR policy and strategy innovation; and corporate culture. She is also oversees legal and contracting issues and office operations globally across 10 countries and six time zones. Before joining Sustainalytics, Nynke worked as an HR management consultant and held various management roles in the field of training and education. Nynke managed the master’s programs at Nyenrode Business University in addition to general HR functions at Atos Origin and La Perla International Living.
Nynke holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Utrecht and an MBA from Nyenrode Business University.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Jeremy Hammond joined Sustainalytics in March 2007 and has held various operating and financial roles within the company. He is presently Sustainalytics’ CFO with responsibility for its global finance function, including financial planning and reporting, capital strategies, risk assessment and review, budget management and other activities. He is a member of Sustainalytics’ executive team and is actively involved in strategic planning, board reporting and participation, and investor communications in collaboration with Sustainalytics’ CEO and President.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Jeremy operated an independent management consulting practice that developed, quantified and implemented in-depth business models and financial strategies for investor groups involved in a variety of mid-sized business ventures.
Jeremy is a former member of the board of directors of GreenSaver, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental home energy efficiency. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dartmouth College (New Hampshire, USA). He has lived in Canada, Bermuda and the United States.
Hans-Ulrich has over 15 years of experience in the field of environmental, social and governance (ESG) research. He joined one of the founding organisations of Sustainalytics in 2001, first as an analyst and then as a senior analyst. He assumed the role of Global Director, Research Products in 2009 and managed a team of close to 100 analysts until mid-2016. Since August 2016, Hans-Ulrich has been responsible for product strategy and product development. During his tenure, Hans-Ulrich has played a key role in the development of the firm’s global ESG research platform as well as most of Sustainalytics’ current product line.
His current responsibilities include overseeing Sustainalytics’ product innovation and development, as well as selected strategic internal and client projects. Hans-Ulrich has extensive market experience and an in-depth knowledge of research and data management processes.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Hans-Ulrich worked for four years at the United Nations in the field of chemicals and waste management and one year at the European Commission. Hans-Ulrich studied Economics at Saarland University (Germany) and also holds a master’s degree in Environmental and Resource Economics from University College London.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Diederik is the executive vice president of institutional relations at Sustainalytics. Over the past seven years Diederik has helped build Sustainalytics into the largest independent provider of ESG research and analysis for the global investment community. He acts as an advisor to senior executives, portfolio managers, and risk professionals on developing and implementing responsible investment strategies. Diederik directly manages the Institutional Relations team that scored 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in the 2012 Thomson Reuters Extel and SRI-connect IRRI Survey for best client services person in ESG research. In 2013, Diederik transferred from Amsterdam to New York City. The move is in a response to the growing momentum of responsible investment in North America and reflects Sustainalytics’ increased focus on client service and sales in this market.
Diederik is an accomplished speaker, is invited to speak at events and conferences across the globe and has contributed to numerous books, reports and articles on the topic of responsible investment. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Diederik managed research projects at Nyenrode Business University. During this period Diederik contributed to multiple publications, including “A billion to gain? A study on global financial institutions and microfinance,” “ING Microfinance Support,” and “Investors in Need of Social, Ethical, and Environmental Information” (Journal of Business Ethics). Diederik’s in-depth understanding of responsible investment, combined with his pragmatic and effective approach, allows him to advise professionals in the financial sector. Currently, he is an active member of several responsible investment and ethics committees and is a member of the PRI working group on ESG integration in equity investments.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING
Cheryl leads Sustainalytics’ global marketing and communications in addition to working to identify, develop and execute strategic business initiatives worldwide. Cheryl has spent more than a decade of her career in the field of corporate governance and has deep experience in working with institutional investors worldwide.
Prior to joining Sustainalytics, Cheryl was chief marketing officer at GMI Ratings. Cheryl also led the launch of several new ESG and accounting products and worked to raise the firm’s profile through valuable and timely thought leadership work. Prior to that, Cheryl spent more than ten years leading global marketing and communications at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a former division of MSCI/RiskMetrics Group. During her tenure, Cheryl played an executive role in the acquisitions and integration of Innovest and KLD. In addition to her experience in the governance and ESG space, Cheryl’s familiarity with the institutional investor community comes from 12 years in the mutual fund industry as a marketing executive for T. Rowe Price and Calvert Group Investments.
Bob joined Sustainalytics in 2007. In his present role he is responsible for managing the company’s executive team and working with the CEO to set the company’s strategic priorities. Prior to this role, he was the Director of Indices and oversaw the company’s flagship product, the Jantzi Social Index. He also helped to establish the company’s Sustainability Services team, which has grown to become one of the firm’s leading business lines.
Alongside his work at Sustainalytics, Bob sits on the board for Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR). He has worked with the organization for many years, helping corporate leaders improve their understanding of how corporate social responsibility performance is measured by ranking and rating organizations. Bob speaks regularly on the topics of responsible investing and ESG rating and analysis. He also sits on the advisory committee for York University’s Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business and the board of directors for the Sustainability Network.
Bob completed a Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics at York University. In addition, he has an MBA specializing in sustainability and finance, from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Michael Jantzi is the CEO of Sustainalytics. He was the founder of Jantzi Research and has been active in the responsible investment field since 1990. Michael is a thought leader on sustainability investment and corporate social responsibility issues and regularly appears in the global media. He is the co-author of The 50 Best Ethical Stocks for Canadians: High Value Investing, published by MacMillan Canada.
Over the years Michael and his team have been recognized for their research excellence and for being champions of sustainable and responsible investment globally. In 2006, Jantzi Research won the Capital Markets Award for Sustainable Investment & Banking, awarded by the GLOBE Foundation and The Globe and Mail as part of the prestigious GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence program. In June 2010 Michael was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Social Investment Organization (now the Responsible Investment Association) in recognition of his contributions to the Canadian sustainable and responsible investment market thorough leadership, initiative, collaboration and innovation. Sustainalytics was also internationally recognized in 2012, 2013 and 2014 as the best independent responsible investment research firm in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) survey conducted by Extel and SRI-CONNECT.
Michael is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee of Tides Canada. He holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario and Dalhousie University.
